Spark* enables local changemakers in some of the poorest places on the planet. 

This is how we do it.

1. Spark* identifies inspiring local leaders in countries facing extreme poverty.
2. Spark* helps these leaders discover the confidence, concepts and connections that they need to stand up as changemakers in their communities. 
3. Spark* provides enabling funding and strategic support for the most effective poverty reduction projects begun by Spark* Changemakers. 

In 2011 we are working alongside 56 local changemakers in Papua New Guinea, a country where almost 3 million people live on less than $USD1.25 per day. In 2012 we will be expanding to work with 181 changemakers across Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea, South Africa and Indigenous Australia.
